As for the girl, I'm definitely no expert so please, please, please ignore this if it doesn't make sense to you. Personally, I feel like her size and proportions may be a little off in relation to the bridge and foliage....perhaps if you slimmed her down, made the head smaller and adjusted the torso and legs to be more in proportion to each other, she would fit in a little better?Serena Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17789734075055678964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34187351.post-73182079977672064882007-09-21T07:03:00.000+10:002007-09-21T07:03:00.000+10:00Thankyou so much everyone :)I really like the idea...Thankyou so much everyone :)

I really like the idea of the girl valerie, i feel like i just havent created her well enough .. so it makes everything else look odd.. it might improve on the next session.

thanks rose thats interesting. i wasnt aware consciously that monet did that but in thinking about it i was thinking that alot of his paintings werent dark.. and i didnt have to go too dark ... so yeah that all makes sense .. hopefully this will have dried enough i can do some more today :)Belinda Lindhardthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14535158476277023428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34187351.post-78636654701836650712007-09-21T03:50:00.000+10:002007-09-21T03:50:00.000+10:00Belinda, I just remembered...I read the other nig...Belinda, I just remembered...I read the other night that Sargent tried many times to get Monet to add black to his palette. Sargent felt black was essential (for him, it was). Monet would never agree. Being a value hunter lately, I've had a look through Monet's stuff, some of it had precious little value variation to it. Not everything was that way, but there are definitely some paintings where he doesn't go beyond a middle tone! But, you did really get some good value range in there. :-) (even if you say it's all blue :-).Rose Weltyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00313411909909580181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34187351.post-80192875980126684382007-09-21T02:03:00.000+10:002007-09-21T02:03:00.000+10:00Belinda, it is beautiful! Maybe if you don't want her there, you could add a bunch of mixed flowers and foliage?Valerie Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17636202309363978079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34187351.post-20457605252660299582007-09-21T00:31:00.000+10:002007-09-21T00:31:00.000+10:00Belinda, it's really looking good. I agree with you on the bridge lady, maybe a little small. What would you think of a yellow dress?

Really looking good Belinda!Rose Weltyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00313411909909580181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34187351.post-61776473809471562542007-09-21T00:21:00.000+10:002007-09-21T00:21:00.000+10:00Oh Belinda!
